Terms of Service

Welcome to The Muster. By adding The Muster Discord bot to your server, using the bot as a player or administrator, or browsing this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the bot or website, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a Discord server or club, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server immediately.

2. Description of Service

The Muster is an automated matchmaking and league management service designed for wargaming clubs. The service includes queue registration, matching algorithms based on game systems and points, result reporting, and tournament ranking tools. We provide the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis and reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature at any time without liability.

3. Paid Subscription Tiers & Billing

We offer both free and paid subscription plans (Sergeant at £5/month and Captain at £12/month) to support the bot's hosting and maintenance costs. Subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe.

• 14-Day Free Trial: Subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during this period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being billed.
• Recurring Billing: Subscriptions automatically renew monthly. Your credit card on file with Stripe will be charged on each billing date.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time using the /muster-admin subscribe command which provides a secure link to your customer portal. Cancellations apply to the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided.
• Downgrades & Limits: If you cancel or downgrade to a lower tier, active player limits and league restrictions will apply at the end of your billing cycle. No wargaming match history or club profiles will be deleted, but system features will be locked until compliance is restored.

4. Acceptable Use & Conduct

You agree to use The Muster bot only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to bypass subscription limits or exploit bugs in the pairing algorithms.
• Use the bot to transmit spam, harass players, or generate offensive content on Discord.
• Employ reverse engineering or automatic scraping of matchmaking statistics without permission.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the bot for any user or server that violates these guidelines or Discord's Developer Terms of Service.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Muster is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:

• The use or inability to use the bot.
• Loss of matchmaking data, player profiles, or league standings.
• Changes, service disruptions, or API deprecations enforced by Discord Inc.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

7. Amendments

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our bot or legal requirements. The updated date at the top will indicate when changes took effect. Continued use of the bot constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
